SUP Straps
SUP boards can weigh up to 15 kilograms. Especially the big all-rounders are also difficult to grip. The arms have to be very long and even then the wearing is not really comfortable. SUP straps (also called transport slings) are the solution.
Such a strap for SUP boards is simply strapped around the board. On the belt, the board can then be placed relaxed on the shoulder and is so much easier to wear. When you use a SUP board transport belt, you use your whole body to carry it instead of just your arms. The support surface on the shoulder is also mostly padded, so you have no welts afterwards.
The paddle also bothers when carrying the board. Mostly I have to buy twice and the second time only for the paddle. If the road from the waterhole to the car continues, it always feels a bit uncomfortable to leave the paddle or board unattended.
Often there are SUP transport straps with paddle holders. These models have an extra loop to attach a paddle to it.
Navyline carrying strap for kayak and SUP

The Navyline shoulder strap is a sophisticated system. The loops of the Navyline strap are big enough for the SUP and the strap an additional loop to attach a paddle.
Wearing a SUP with this harness is comfortable because the shoulder area is padded.
As a small extra there is a thin plastic bag to stow and transport the Navyline shoulder strap with it.
I think the navy kayak and SUP board harness is the best model on the market right now.
VGEBY nylon kayak, surf and SUP harness

- Extras: padding on the shoulder straps, loop for paddle
The carrying strap by VGEBY is durable and robust. Due to the padding in the shoulder area, the comfort is given while wearing. A paddle can also be attached (at the point where the straps converge).
Using a trailer while riding a bicycle proves to be difficult after impressing a buyer * .
Kangui SUP Board Carrying Strap
- Extras: Padded shoulder strap and attachment for paddle
The Kangui SUP carrying strap is designed for up to 20 kilograms. However, one customer reports that the settings do not hold on his heavy hardboard * .
The idea with the Kangui SUP belt is good. With the strap you carry the board to the water, then you roll up the strap, put it in the small waterproof bag, which is attached to the strap and you pin the bag to the luggage net of your SUPs.
Northcore harness SUP
- Extras: Padded non-slip shoulder strap
The Northcore Harness is made for surfboards, longboards and SUP boards. For thick and wide allround boards this can be a bit too short. The strap is then not long enough so that the SUP can be worn really comfortable.
However, the non-slip and padded shoulder strap is well suited for transporting SUP boards .
The belt from Northcore unfortunately offers no attachment for paddles.
Northcore harness SUP
- Extras: padding in the shoulder area
When Tbest SUP belt is set to a system with click fasteners. The strap itself is robust and has been reinforced with padding for comfort in the shoulder area.
However, Tbe’s SUP harness is designed for smaller, smaller water sports equipment such as kayaks or surfboards. SUP boards can run short with length.

2019 is a great year to enter Stand Up Paddling. Sure the summer will be just as great as last year. And the selection of boards has never been so great!
